Filter Notifications Overview
Filter notifications provide you with real-time awareness of your patients’ care encounters, even when you’re not logged in to the Bamboo Health platform so that you can act fast to coordinate your patients’ care.
You can set up Filter Notifications to be sent via email and/or text message and customize how often you receive alerts to help you stay up to date on high-priority care events.

Receiving Filter Notifications
Notifications are entirely HIPPA compliant and will never contain PHI (Protected Health Information). The following information will be included in each email and/or text you receive regarding the care event:
-
- Name of the saved filter you are receiving a notification from
- Current status (e.g. admit, discharge)
- Facility type
- Patient setting
- Time of the event
- Any flags the patient applies to
- Program attribution
- Each notification will also contain a link. If you receive a notification on one Ping, the link will take you to the patient’s profile. If you receive a notification on more than one patient, then the link will direct you to the Ping feed.
Need to adjust your notification settings? Simply click the bell icon next to your saved filters to make any necessary updates.
Filter Notifications FAQs
1. Why did I receive a notification even though I disabled them?
Alerts depend solely on the schedule that is set. If notifications are set to be delivered on Saturday, but the filter notifications are not disabled until Friday, then you will receive all of the events that fell into the saved filter criteria from the prior Sunday-Thursday.
In this case, we suggest setting notifications to in real-time, as this can be disabled at any time and no notifications will be sent after disabling.
2. I have my filter notifications set to notify me once daily, Mon-Fri at 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM. However, I receive notifications outside of this scheduled time, sometimes much later than 9 AM. Why is this?
Adding an alert schedule to the once daily frequency may throw off the calculation for these alerts. Updating the frequency to in real-time at 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM Mon-Fri will ensure you are only receiving notifications during this time.
3. What time zone are my notifications in?
